According to The Knot, "a microwedding, like its name suggests, will typically include a guest list of up to 50 guests—often immediate family and super-close friends only." This is exactly what Abby & Ryan did for their wedding day in Florence, OR. Their celebration started at private property located on Mercer Lake. Here is where the bride, groom, bridal party got ready, and the couple had their first look and said private vows.
At a second private property, they had their wedding ceremony in a beautifully wooded area surrounded only by immediate family and closest friends. This location also offered lovely backdrop for group portraits, couples/newlywed portraits and their special request portraits.
Finally, they rode their motorcycle to the final location where they held their reception with dances, speeches, and food.
I loved the laid-back fluid feel of this wedding. Nothing was stressful and the timeline was built to allow freedom for the couple to enjoy/experience their day. They specifically requested no audience nearby during the first look/private vow exchange. We also strategized on getting an enroute photo of them on the motorcycle (above top left). Aside from a few slightly directed posed photos, most of these are documenting things as they happened which reflected the wish of the couple for their day.
